Whatever prompts their fall, Chaos Knights are as varied in form and foulness as they are monstrously powerful. Most are reshaped by the energies of the warp and the assiduous attentions of traitor Sacristans or Dark Mechanicum magi. Their armoured hulls sprout thickets of vicious spikes from which dangle gory trophies. Proud banners are replaced by flayed skins, daubed with infernal runes or writhing with still-screaming faces. Whispering shadows pool around their feet. In many cases, unholy storms hang like shrouds above them, croaking Pterrorshades winging through the air.
